WATER SPOUTS
I'm relatively new to the open water of Lake Erie (2nd season with a boat big enough), so bear with what might be a stupid question. I was out by the light house a few days ago perchin and saw my first water spouts down by elk. 4 at one time with one pretty big around is an awesome sight! Needless to say we picked up and left. Even tho the perch were hitting we were all a bit apprehensive (scared poopless was more like it). Now, we were 1 of about 3 boats to leave, everyone else stayed, and there were 2 big packs out there including one even further west with the Ed John. Are these spouts something to be worried about? The other boats sure weren't! I would appreciate any info you guys can provide on these things.
