White Flies on the NW Pa smallie streams?

Are they happening yet?  Buddy saw a few last night on the Slippery Rock FFO section but not  fish moved to them, wondered if they were just starting or if they moving upstream.  Any good info appreciated.

The FFO section is junk IMO.

Try upstream of the park if your after the bass on the white fly.

Oil creek should be very soon. A week or so.
    Neshannock probably sooner.

I will be taking my buddy's son (5 years old) out for the first time fly fishing, and I think this would be a good starter hatch.

Looking to hit the white flies on Fri, Sat or Sun.

If anyone hits Slippery Rock, Neshannock, or Oil Creek tonight, please report back (or PM me).  Thanks!

dc, i found during the white fly hatch, if they aren't rising to your catskill tie, use a parachute dry. just a suggestion.

I was just wondering if there were any recent reports on the white fly hatch? I've never fished it and would love the opportunity to make a trip if the time is right! Any reports and info would be great.

    Thanks,
    Bass
