I would make some Egg flies that are brighter for before the sun gets on the water. I think Niagra gold is what works for me early am.

could you open that box and let me see what those beed heads look like?  What size are they,  I can do the colors.  I'll probably do egg sacks early for size and smell, and if water is stained.   I'm sitting here studying that pic,  that isn't marabo tails,  it looks like bucktail, is that right?

They're comets. Chain bead eyes, mylar body with a Chinese Rooster hackle collar. Yankee fly shop sells this variation of them and has the materials too.
The tail is an extension of the body. Tie off, glue down & unravel for tail.

Bubb, you have a good basic selection that will catch steelies.
One thing I don't see is anything in blue eggs... Blue is a real good color for me altho you must either dye white egg yarn or buy blue wool yarn to tie them.

Another and perhaps the biggest part of my steelhead fly selection is Time of Year. The pic I posted are for Fall, bright colors size #8&6 and mostly egg patterns. For some reason browns favor chartruse (before the start spawning) more then steelhead. As the salmon tail off also a flesh fly size #4 will produce good catches.
Once deep cold and winter sets in I switch to more natural insect such as stones, larva, leeches, prince and copper johns, and smaller size #10 egg patterns in light pale colors, yes also blue, But at that point how many fake eggs have the fish seen ?
Now Spring, as early as Late Feb. early Mar. I will use strictly streamer patterns. Buggers and smolt patterns . These really kick in late March > May.

So what are you missing ?
Really You could tie a zillion flies of 1,000 patterns but If you have the basic's (as you seem to) It becomes more about being confident in your abilities and fishing proper water.

    Good luck....

HT- you don't like the blue glo bug yarn? I'm just wondering. I have a wad of it. I know blue works in low light (the first color in the spectrum they can see when it gets light), but I've never caught a fish on blue. I do best with that orange color. I think it's Golden Nugget. The yellow I think is Niagra Gold.
    I forget which is which.
