Freeport is great for breakfast, but they don't open till 8.  Good for lunch and dinner too.  I also like Plummers for sandwiches and the like.  On 5 just in NY.  Otherwise it is pizza or burger king.

Rizzo's at Rt 20 & Washington, they have good Italian Food.  Crazy Pariot at the Marina, nice place for lunch after fishing.

I'll second this...I ate there last night after a long day on the pond.  Really good food and generous portions.  However, it's not in NY.  It's about 2.5 miles southwest of the marina on the corner of rt 5 and rt 89.

I have to agree about Freeport.  There's a tiny diner called Tillies next door to Valley Beer on Route 20.  I believe they open pretty early.  For dinner there's Rizzo's on route 20 just west of Orchard Beach Road, and Bova's on Route 89 south of route 20.  Oh, and Jack's Place, more of a bar, but really great food.  They're on route 20 west of Tillie's by Gravel Pit Park.

I think he means that Plummers is on route 5 just over the NY state line.  The owners Patty and Joe are a riot.

After rereading his post I see that you're probably right...my mistake.

There's only one stop light in Ripley and it's about 2 miles east of Kelly's.  Kelly's is located on route 20 just over the NY state line on the south side.

I also forgot about Valone's. It's take out only, but they have great pizza, ox roast, and subs.  It's located on route 89 south of route 20 just beyond the underpass.

My vote would be for Freeport. If you stop by there you have to try the brocolli and cheese soup and the deep fried pickles. They are 2 things that I get whenever I stop by there. There is also 16 mile out the backdoor.

Freeport rocks.  They need to open a "Freeport WEST".
