Oh snap, I was hoping for a 6' 9 wt for dry flies with a nice "light" action.  I am doing the rod you picked out when you were here, and the glass rod will be a classice H&I.

    My vote: 9 ft 7wt.

I just might have to fish this year just to have a chance at that one

    6 Wt.

I might even show up for a chance at that. Been thinking about getting one. I have 2 7's and a 7/8, gave an 8 away for the benefit last year.

6' 9wt - hahaha... Gander Mtn. suggested, right?

I've got a broomstick at home. Could duct-tape some wire bread ties onto it as guides to give it the same feel.

    gentlemen,
Just a note to say that Skip built me a very nice 5 wt that has become my favorite mid wt. rod. I have a big rod for steel (fly fishin dave) and a small rod (2 wt) for brookies. But the 5 wt is my favorite for everything in between.
Skip do build very comfortable rods.
