Erie boat

Well I fished on my uncles 24 foot Crestliner friday night and saturday morning. I must say it is a great roomy fishing boat and rides extremely well for an aluminum boat BUT no comparison to a glass boat. We couldn't turn into 2-4's to troll friday evening and the 3-5's saturday were horrific to fish in! We took his boat back to the dock at 11:00 am and drove all the way to my boat in erie PA to finish our day of fishing the Pittsburgh Downrigger Annual Contest. My prior glass boats which included a 21' Bayliner, 24' Thompson, 24' Invader walk around all would have had no problem trolling into 2-4 footers. It was miserable not being able to stay in 68-70 feet of water. Thats were the fish were and we probably would have gotten some nice ones and maybe more if we could have stayed there. I hate to say it but Conneaut is better fishing than PA right now (I think). Here are the 7 we got which ranged from 3 to 11 pounds.

Haha, if the walleye is acutally a 9 pounder but it has 2 pounds of baitfish in it, do you count it as an 11 pounder or a 9 pounder?

I guess the question would be most relevent if it was a border line state record fish.  How do they prove you didnt stuff the fish to get the record weight????

"A Homewood man led police on an hourlong car chase that ended with a crash injuring three officers.

"The car was driving itself," Wright said. "The car has a GPS. It's a Lincoln Navigator. They drive themselves. I wasn't running nowhere."

Won't be able to report that after today cause I'm staying in PA! It was a great couple hours there though. This weekend at the Pro/Am in PA the truth of how PA fishing is will be told.

I went out of Walnut tonight about 7:30 and fished til dark. Caught 4, had 3 knockoffs and lost one at the back of the boat. Not bad for a few hours in this slow state of walleye fishing I guess..All came in 25-30fow pulling Bagleys off big boards 120 and 140 back. Pearl and Brown and orange tiger striped were hot for us....Also caught 2 bass as well.....
