TROLLING DEPTH BOOKS

I was looking for a good book that shows trolling what baits at what feet of line that will get you to such and such a depth. Is there a certain one that stands out above the rest as i have seen more than a few out there?

The only problem with that book is it shows most of the depth curves for mono only...Not to many people use that anymore...And I am gonna be the first to tell you....They are not waterproof...That is for sure... I have the original one that I bougt a few years ago...this one that skip posted looks like it has a lot of updates...If you get it, let me know how you like it....

The updated version has mono and 30# braid dive curves.

The big water edition has curves for mono, braid, wire, copper, everything. Great books to have.

I agree that they are great resources, but there are a few things I hate about them:  I hate trying to reference a dive curve, matching x-axis to y-axis while keeping my balance in 4 foot waves...a table format would be easier (and much faster) to read.  I know why they don't do it in table format (everyone would borrow their friends' books and throw them into a spreadsheet), but it would be more convenient.
Although the data for dipsys are great, the charts for leadcore and snap weights are lacking...snap weights start at 4 oz and are only listed for one speed.  Both snap weights and leadcore are extremely speed dependent.  Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I hope they expand their data for the next edition.

How much depth would be gained bt 20lb braid vs 30 lb braid at 1oo' lets say, with a large dipsey ? 10' or so ?? i realize there are a lot of factors, but I'm gonna be new to this and may go with 20 rather than 30lb. Or is that a bad move to begin with ?

Bad move get the 30 on everything that way all your depth charts will be as acurate as they can be. A few feet of guesstimating may be the difference between the skunk and a full box some days.
