I know never happened to me....us...Definitely didn't happen on July 6th at 10:33 AM when a nice eye swam all over hell and breakfast.

If I would have asked what everyone wanted, they would have responded that they wanted a better horse....Henry Ford

Yet another question ! Hit the river today with a hand held gps, average speed was close to 4mph. Periodically the motor would slow for a spell and run around 3mph. Cant see why unless a tune up is in order, but it seems to run well. Will a drift sock help me out and if so, how big and do these get attached at the front hook ? 16' with I/O 115hp. Thanks for puttin up with all the questions !

If you want to spend the $$ for one.....Tie a rope to a 5 gallon bucket or two and put them to the either side.......Works just as well....Or get a smaller hp motor (Kicker)

Kicker is not an option !$$! Tried buckets years ago on a rented pontoon. Put some holes in them but theystill did not seem to do much but hang straight down. Although we were strictly drifting and never tried them under power. Would one of each side actually work ? I guess it might, maybe I'll get a chance to try it out down the river before we head up to erie.

Won't work unless your under power...The buckets are to heavy to drift with, but will work to slow it doen....It really does work, try it before you spend the bucks for a drift sock....

I'll do that.Should I pop a couple holes in them or let them be ? ( If I remember correctly, one of the yo-yos I was with on the pontoon trip had a rough night with beer and jalapenoe(sp) peppers, and used one of the buckets for....something else.!)
