My brother is in conneaut lake visiting for the week. Is the humps and sandbar still the best place to fish? Would like to find him some crappies and walleye if anyone can help, it would be appreciated.  I am stuck at work for the week. thanks

Im going back up this friday. Ive been seeing alot of pike close to shore lately some being pretty big the thing is I run out of room by the time they hit the spinner bait its right next to the dock. I think there was a bass tournament this past sunday out of all the people who fished neaqr our dock only one guy caught 2

Man I can't imagine a Tournament on little Conneaut on a Sunday. Water skier's, jet ski's, pontoons. What a Zoo.

My Wife said, if I go fish'n one more time, she'll leave me! God, I'm going to miss her!

Split Shot you might be surprised and I was too but there was a tournament last sunday. There was maybe 20 bass boats out all with 150+ hp i even saw one that was 250... I think those boats kept everyone away for the morning hours. These guys in the bass boats drove like crazy theyd go full speed around the lake

Fishing through the 16-18th and caught most of our fish on the hump and off the island. Bass fishing around the exit of the fish commission ramp was good. Northerns around the island with an occational bass. Crappy found on the top water chasing minnows in the morning. Not a bad week.

My bass club had a tournament there a couple weeks back. The crazies on their water skis, the jet skis, and the idiots trying to set speed records caused too many wakes to make the fishing anything but dismal. We had 9 boats out, 15 anglers, and as a total, brought in only 4 fish - dismal. I think the fish go into hiding when the weekends come.......lol.
