Yeah....LOL but seriously does anyone know if thats all the bigger that parking lot is gonna be? Rode down there last week and was very disappointed in what I saw. Thought it would have been nicer for the money they wasted on it.

How about some pix of the new lot?  How many spaces did they put in?  They could use 40.

Then fish somewhere else. The parking lot isn't for fishermen anyways, it's for the Fairview residents to enjoy.

A rather substantial amount of the money to acquire that property came from anglers via the Lake Erie Stamp. It is for BOTH to enjoy, and use.

From a Fish Commission press release...
"Fairview Township has agreed that it will use the site, in part, to improve access to both Lake Erie and Trout Run. The Township will grant to the Commission conservation or access easement that will allow for public access along the lake shore in perpetuity. An agreement between the Township and the Commission will include specific provisions for the protection of the Commission’s interests, the angling public, and the development of parking facilities that can be accommodated on the site.",  and I'm a Fairview resident by the way. The point being that it belongs to the public.

Fairview is my 2nd favorite town in PA. 1st being State college/half moon township.  everytime I go just to see the steelies stacking up in trout run I had to contend with a million cars parking in places for and places not for parking. Im glad to see they did something to try to improve it. but lots will still be unhappy.

I know that the developement plans are/where at the Twp. building. I haven't seen them myself, but the word is that parking for 105 cars is planned. What you see now is just the beginning, I suspect.

trout run used to be a good place to fish, the last 3 years after they cut the stocking down have been dismal. they used to stock so many fish there that the creek would fill up and the runs that were coming in could npt get into the creek. they would stack up.
nowadays all the fish go right up the creek and not to many stay in the lake. I'm actually glad they cut the fish numbers down. Guys on another thread are complaining about guys in ohio netting fish, you should of seen the low-brow antics that went on at trout run in the 90's. snagged fish, fights and even guys throwing rocks and hitting fish.

I've seen some of those fights and was almost in a couple.  You get some real arseholes in all of the creeks, thats for sure but trout run was the worst at one time.

Best thing the PFBC ever did was to cut down the stocking of trout run.

Trout run blows, Id rather fish turd creek and have to deal with funky smelling tampons flowing around me all day. Who in the right mind wants to stand elbow to elbow with 50 guys, waiting like a slug to get a bite. Thats like fishing for 30inch crappies....boring!
