Cape Cod Trip

Blitz42 and myself will be heading up to cape cod on the 9th for 9 days of harcore fishing.  Some local ponds including knickerson state park will be on the list to try.  Always plenty of decent trout, large white perch, and some monster bass.  Also the idea of ocean kayak trolling for blues and stripers came up.  I bought myself a dryskirt yesterday.  Rock Harbor is a possible launch point.  If anyone has ever tried this or anything similar please, some advice will be very very appreciated.  If not, wish us luck on making that fish porn.  If anyone will be in the area and wants to meet up for a day, or a night (about half the trip is planned for nightfishing) just let me know.

    I had some of the best trout and bass fishing ever on Cape Cod about ten years ago.  Hardly anyone fishes those fresh water ponds and there are some big trout and bass in them.  Early morning and early evening is the best time for both species.  I even caught a rainbow on a small (3-16oz) Hula Popper while fishing for bass.  Caught most of my trout by using a #18 mosquito dry fly attached to 2 lb. line and a plastic float for some weight set 6 ft. above it, so I could cast it out far enough.

    thanks.  Interesting, my friend also caught a rainbow on a pop-r.  It was a very thrashy 17" er and it pulled the hook and pins clear out of the back! Still have it laying around, its a minor trophy...
