Me and my son fished the stumps for about 6 hours the other night. We got a ton of little ones, nothing over 5-6 inches

Spawn is on. Haven't got into the big ones, but saw hundreds of bluegill on beds Friday. They're out there, tricks finding the ones worth filleting....I'd clean 10 inchers aaaalllll day.

theres not many big ones left. Let alone keepable ones. Id bet 1 out 50 caught is keepable. They need to start a management program for panfish out here, its getting real bad.
Navyman, if your catching 5-6inchers, youve gotten the "big ones". lol.

Ive heard they closed the park/lake today. Supposedly fergies baitshop and the campground is closed also. Anybody else heard anything? Ill be ****ed if I go over there this week and cant launch.

Not sure, but checked the PA fish and boat website and the report for July 1st states the boat rental and concessions are now open.

News to me! Lake is still accessible, Marina finally reopened with bait shop in operation. New people running the marina now. I was just there yesterday, and there was nothing posted about it closing down...but I'll stop on my way home from work and see whats up. I know this weekend is gonna be a busy weekend at the marina there. This is the weekend for the Pioneer festival.

I have a pontoon in a slip at the marina on wilhelm...have not heard anything from the state about removing the boat plus i keep a vhull  at our camper and use all of the ramps none of them are closed...State was going to stop services at some state parks not elimate access for fishing or ramps.

Plus I also read the state has approved funding for keeping services / maintenace going at all state parks Fergie's Bait store has a copy of this article on the check out counter

Vacationland is a nice campground. Was up there the weekend of the 27th. Had a good time and even rented a pontoon at the lake. Price was very reasonable, $65 for 2 hrs.,take cash with you if you want to rent because they dont have credit card machine yet.

My friend and I fished it for the first time Sunday. We caught some bass. We also missed a 6 pounder and some other big bass. We did not get too many bites as we hoped for, but not a terrible day.  Timmy

Best bass lake in the area IMO. My buddy and I fished it last week and caught at least 15 largemouth from 3.5 to 5.5 lbs. and numerous smaller ones.
