Backing capacity fro 20# vs. 30# ?

Please pardon my complete ignorance. If the reel specs say the backing capacity of reel is 200 yds with 20# backing, what is the backing capacity if I use 30# backing?

    My guess would be 25% less or 150 yards.

    What model of reel?

    What fish species are you targeting?

    30# gel backing would probably be 50% more (300 yds.)

    changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes....nothing remains quite the same
