Fall away rests

I'm gonna switch from my whiskerbiscuit to a fallaway . I've been told that the Ripcord is the one to get. There's so many diffrent ones to choose from so I'd like to hear wich ones you Guys use . I'll be going to one or two more 3D's but after that the Huntin sights are going on , and I'll be concentrating on getting the bow ready for archery season. So any opinions,likes-dislikes,or recomendations would be greatly appreciated .

    Dad has the ripcord.

I shoot a Muzzy zero effect.  Your arrow will never fall with the zero effect and you'll never have to make sure it's ther ebecause it always is.  The ripcord does lay flat when it's not drawn which is a disadvantange.

A common complaint with fall aways are that they are noisy.  No noise with either of these.

They are the best in the biz.

I too shoot a drop zone, but if i ever need to buy a new one it will be a zero effect. The biggest advantage the zero effect has over the drop zone is that there is no string to serve into the cables. The muzzy goes right on the cable slide, not sure if they make it for a mathews. I really could care less, I wont be jumping on the mathews bandwagon anytime soon. If I buy a new bow, it will be a bowtech.

You know, I was strongly considering buying a new bow. I had the money I could have went right out and bought a bowtech. The more I thought about it, the more I wondered why. My bow is only 5 years old, its pretty darn quiet(helps that I have every simms product made for it). I finally decided against it, theres no need. My bow is short just like all the new ones, the only thing it doesnt have that I would like is the beyond parallel limbs. Short of that its about 30 fps slower then the new ones. So I thought, is 30fps worth $800... nah. I dont see me buying another bow unless I break this one somehow. Its just not worth it. I think most the time guys buy these bows to say... I shoot a mathews... I shoot a bowtech... I shoot the new Fred Bear. Buy a new bow when you have a good reason, not to impress people. I know a guy who has an older fred bear and he has shot more deer with that bow then anyone I know who has a mathews. The bow, does not make the hunter.

Instead of the new bow, I bought a new O/U... which I NEEDED! When I say NEEDED I meen it, pump guns are illegal in most field trials.

I know what you mean about buying a new Bow when you dont really need one. I shot  the same Reflex for the last 7 years. The only reason I bought a new Bow this year is because the limbs were starting to split. So I guess "If it aint broke dont Buy a new one" I also Know what you mean about certain brand name Bows,I Know that mathews makes one hell of a good Bow. But I would never own one . However I did spend a small fortune on the new Parker Frontier,And I cant Imagine any Bow shooting much better than it, And it was still around $200 cheaper. Anyway back to the original subject ,I think after Asking Around ,The Ripcord is the way Im gonna go,Ichecked them out at the shop and they seemed to work well . And if I don't like it I can always go back to the Biscuit.

I'm going with the ripcord as well.

I'm buying a new bow for the first time in probably 15 years.  Some of the guys I work with buy new ones every two or three years.  Not me.  I wait until the technology has really advanced since the bow I own came out.  That doesn't happen every two or three years.  Seems to take about ten years.  I'd love to buy the latest and greatest every year but, that isn't realistic for me and I really dont need one that frequently.

I had a rip cord and it started acting up 2 weeks later. I couldn't get it to drop when I released the arrow. It was VERY inconsistant. I went to a trophy taker and never looked back. The manufacturers didn't believe me when I told them it wasn't working properly. I sent it back and it has been a year and "They are still looking into the matter" They didn't return my $$ , and I was just blown off. So i will do what I can to let my story be known. 'll be happy NOT to recomend one to any one.  Good luck  J.T.
