What species will you be targeting? Suckers, smallies, cats, rock bass?

I've been to elk and walnut a lot in the last couple weeks with great results! both creeks has good numbers of fish..it doesnt matter which creek you go to..in what I've seen walnut and elk have good numbers of smallmouth bass..elk has carp and few suckers left..walnut has more life right now..theres smallies, carp, white suckers, quillback suckers ( there BIG), and i went down the other day to look and saw two channel cats up against the wall..if i were you stick to basics..if your fly fishing bring streamers and cloussers..for lures bring a variety of jig heads and grubtails and small spinners.. if its shallow fish smaller because they've been pretty spooky..most of my success has came from casting a Yum walleye grub (tiger fire) into a pool and fishing the bottom really slow..well goodluck!

If I were you, I'd fish Conneaut Creek this time of year. Lots of good water to fish for bass, gills, pike, 'skies...you name it!

For my fishing reports, product reviews, stories, and other nonsense...
