First at Wilhelm

I took the pontoon for a trip to Wilhelm today and was amazed to see such a beautiful lake with so few boats.  The marina was full and probably 10 boats out there.  I know there were more cyclists around the lake than boats in it.  Has anyone noticed this and why there is so little activity.  Lake Arthur is a zoo with the ramps super busy and the lots full but not Wilhelm.

Goerge, I was at Auther today for the yearly family reunion and there where not many boats out. Maybe because it was so hot. We were at pavillion #4 and there is no wind there because of the pines. Haven,t been to Wilhelm since we found the guy that took his life along the road. Bad dreams for sure.

Hard to imagine that deep of depression. My wife just told me her sisters neighbor got the word they found her son at college dead in bed-took his life with a gun.

Yes it was hot John. Beautiful lake all the same.  When you are getting down to Arthur let me know.

Have not heard of many fishing successes at Wilhelm in the last couple years.  I hope I am not missing anything, but that has been what keeps me away.  Not into bass fishing.  Crappie fishing there doesn't seem to me, to be like what I am told it "used to be".  I don't think I will ever figure out the walleye at Wilhelm or Moraine either!
Did you catch any fish Luke???

i find the down-turn in fishing here and at pymatuning and mosquito a bit disconcerting.  maybe because it is happening all at the same time.  maybe because i haven't been out too much this year.  hope this is not an ongoing trend.

Nope-didn't get a bit.  Didn't see any of the other boats landing any either.

I was more into keeping moving for a nice ride as it was too hot to sit long.

Early and late in the year Wilhelm gets too crowded.  Still plenty of fish up there.  Just need to change tactics for the hot weather and hot water.

Don't think it's a dead sea. Saw plenty of them on the Cuda 128.
    Eyesandgills is right.
