Striper trip #1 for 2009 = Major success !!!

Man what a day (or should i say 3 hours) !!!

I had to explain to HLS it doesn't always happen this easy LOL !

So we hit the water around 10am, drop anchor and not 3 minutes in HLS hookes up. BUT there were a ton of small Stripers harrassing our herring the whole time out. So this one was a miss, not much longer i get a runner and the season is ON BABY !!! I love the feeling of a nice striper peeling line off the rod.

We ended up boating 12 of them , only 2 real shorties all the rest were avg male schoolies in the low-mid 30" range.

SO here's all the fish porn guys ... ENJOY ! We sure did !!!

Most were skinny males , but you can see (and we could feel) the difference in those fat mamma stripers.


HLS it was great fishing with you man ! Just remember your lifevest next time DOH !!!

I don't know what esle to say ... but i'll be back out there tomorrow

    Those pictures came out SWEET!!! Except the one you had to block out some of the backround. ooops.

    It was awesome fishing with you also Brian. You're a real class act.

    I'm hoping to get the minimum fine for the no life-preserver thingy. Just bought a few from Wal-mart, and sent in the receipt with my ticket. Even if they give me the max, it was worth it.

    When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

    I would fish with HLS anytime ! It was fun man ... SO glad you brought your boat down.

    Well done Brian.......i was happy with my lone fish landed until i got home and read this!!
     
    We had 6 runs / hookups and landed one.....i talked to a guy at Stewarts this morning who got 9 yesterday near Albany.....GAME ON!
