I am sure you can find some great tank plans online... Everyone down in FL had some version of wheeled cooler-style tanks for keeping shrimp and pilchards alive while fishing from piers, etc.  They used D batteries...

On your boat you'd have room for a 12V battery so you could just score one of those kits from Bass Pro, Gander or the like...  Aerator, tubing, etc.  You could even make a recirculating tank if you used hose on the cooler's drain and a bilge pump to add water, etc.

But judging by my bait last season, I don't think you really need to recirc it as much as just make sure oxygen levels stay up.  My baitwell is probably about 8-10 gallons and would keep four herring alive indefinately.  I never found a need to keep more, obviously...  And when the day is winding down you can toss the extra bait and use the well for it's more dignified purpose:

    Jimmy:

I like your "more dignified approach to a cooler/holding tank.  However, I didn't notice any of the top selling quality beer "Old Milwaukee"???  It's much like Carling Black Label used to be in Pennsylvania when I was in college - Buy one case and get two cases free.  Always an indication of an excellent brew!
