smallmouth

my wife and i are coming to erie next sunday for a week .  staying in the town of erie. would like any info on where to hook up on some smallmouth this time of year. any help would be appreciated.  largemouth2

    to have the best chance to catch smallies you have to fish the lake. probably in deep water this time of year, 40' - 50'.  you will be able to catch bass in near by streams that do not flow into erie, like french creek.

    If fishing the lake the most productive depth right now is 25-30 fow. Any kind of break, hump, rockpile in that depth will probably hold fish. I would recommend a drop shot, tube, or live bait.
