    Been there many moons ago!

Cool place and the fishin is awesome for Pike..

This one is just an average one...20-30 of these a day!
They get much larger there, but we didn't see any!

'03 isnt so long ago.  15 hour drive from pittsburgh...  yikes.  their website says brookies.  always heard that Quebec brookies were fierce.  do you recall if that was fly out only?  again the website is amature at best.

    The "03" isn't right...It was in 99 I think!

We drove in, but one lake we fished (in the pic) we had to drive 4 hours on an old logging road to another place by some river. ( I can't remember any names) It was a fly in Moose camp...Ask them about that because the lake we fished was LOADED with lakers...We weren't geared for them, but in some spots our depth finder was black with fish! DId hook one, but lost it by the boat!

I haven't been to Berthelot, but have been to a lodge in the area that sounds alot like it (can't remember the name, though--must've been '85).  It also said accessible by float plan or car.  We had four wheel drive, an axe, and a shovel, and used them all to make it to the lodge--but we did make it.

I heard Berthelot Lake was all fished out.

    Try Cannonsburg instead.

seems like a natural thing for him to do.  especially since the state is going to dredge it and make it a world class lake trout empoundment...  right?

sorry for the bump.  but the excitement is too much.  leaving friday!

getting there saturday morning, flying to outpost lodge.  loaded up with every pike spinner i can carry, tons of walleye jigs, crankbaits and rapalas to make me sick, and of course a fisherman's dozen of KJH's pike flies plus a dozen more of mine.  also got the new waterproof/shockproof camera with 800 pic capacity to bore all non-fishing types to death with.
