Return the rods to walmart and tell them they were a gift. They will likely replace them!

I have 2 old tips but i'm not 100% sure they are from ugly sticks or rhino rods. They are both a hair over 40 inchs long and one has single foot spinning guides on and one has double foot spinning? guides. They both have the female end if that helps you as to what brand they are. The outside diameter at the ferrule is just under 1/4 inch. The single footed one is in much better shape but if it will work you can have it or them for the actual postage.

Contact Shakespeare down in South Carolina.

I have an 8wt fly rod (guaranteed)  - broke the butt section - instead of sending rod back, I took a "picture" (laid it on a copy machine) and sent it to them asking to replace the butt - they sent me a new tip - I responded I needed the butt section which they promptly forwarded and did not ask for return of the tip! You can't beat service like that!

If i read the usps web site correctly it looks like they could go priority mail for $4.95. Parcel post was more i quess because of the package length. If you want to check the package weighs 15 ounces and is 42 x 4 x 4. (plastic pipe tube)

I checked with an erie zip code but i'm in somerset at zip code 15501 if you want to double check.

I actually made one a couple of years ago. I used that size pipe for the chamber and about 2 inch black pipe for the barrell. Worked pretty good the time i tried it. Gave it to my son last year. Also used another smaller piece of pvc with a cap to ram the apple/potatoe down the barrell.
