LL Ice Conditions

I saw about 10 people out there yesterday when I drove by, I went out this morning. Drilled 5 holes set one trap then packed up and left. Ice is a foot and a half but a lot of fractures and dark spots where it looks like water has come through. I could hear the ice settling with about every step I took as well as cracking sounds coming from the middle. Being out by myself it was just a little to nerve racking for me and figured better safe then sorry. Mouth of Bog Meadow Brook has opened up about 50 plus feet out, last week it was hard to see the mouth because it was frozen solid. If you go out take someone and be careful. A foot and a half of ice or not with the streams opening it only takes one piece of ice to drop and start the whole thing breaking up.
