Won a couple of door prizes and that was it. Junk fishing all weekend. Queechy was in much better shape today. You could actually walk on top without sinking. Guy got busted for trying to enter a DEAD walleye in the Bailey Mtn Tourney yesterday. Dude was hammered when he showed up with the fish. Was actually pretty funny to hear him explain how he caught a fish and it "froze" to death in 42 degree weather. DUH !!!. I'm all fished out and exhausted right now. Gonna have to take the week off and attack them again next weekend. Crooked Lake and Burden Lake tourneys both next saturday. Also, I believe Tim Blodgett is putting something together for Saratoga also next weekend. Oh well, I'll probably fish Crooked Lake next saturday and then head back up north on sunday in search of the elusive lakers.

No tourney here but it was weird , we hit a spring like downpour heading to the lake .. we reached the parking lot around 10am, it was a rare day.. no body was really doing .. most left but me and my friend finally found them 2pm and we had a blast to 4 pm with these! I think the vortex wash into the holes was chumming them in..alot of these adult hogs were spitting up bait. Brain might need some photo bucket tutorial again? http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo359/luke7908/jan0809011.jpg http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo359/luke7908/jan0809012.jpg http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo359/luke7908/jan0809010.jpg http://i391.photobucket.com/albums/oo359/luke7908/jan0809015.jpg

I didn't enter any tournaments down in the "Big Easy", but I did set a few records for 'most Hurricanes at Pat O'Brien's in one sitting'...  It was quite an event...  Actually, those things are brutal.  Three of those, and I was on the floor.  Sadly, I am serious.  On the floor.  But so was the rest of the place- New Orleans is ridiculous:

I am heading out to Ballston Lake this afternoon for a few hours to enjoy some fishing on a MONDAY.  Should be pretty quiet over there I think.  If anyone's up for it, give me a call.  Don't  bring liqour...

Unless you also bring a table of these keepers.  Hurricanes make good cougar bait:

Looks like a great time being had there Jimmy. Good luck on Ballston. I was there this morning for a few hours. Had a little better day than the last. Brought home a few crappie. Also iced a 12" and 20" bass. But it definitely has slowed down there. Think we're in the mid-winter lull right now.

Gonna take a week or so off from fishing. I've been neglecting my poker playing lately, and have a few tourneys coming up that I need to sharpen up for.

When hell freezes over, I'll fish there too.

Fishing has definitely slowed down. I need a break and then I am gonna make a real push to land them lakers. Lakes are probably gonna be a mess after weds and thurs anyway until we get another deep freeze. As far as Glass Lake and the Bailey Mtn tourney, there was a total of about 20 fish caught by roughly 260 entries in the tourney. The only category to pay all places was pickerel obviously. There was only 1 walleye and 1 trout caught i believe. We got skunked on Reichards. I will never fish that lake again. That was the dirtiest lake I have ever seen. Should have fished Glass like we were going to. I may fish the Crooked Lake tourney on sat and thats it for me this weekend. Taking Sunday off. Time to go drinking Saturday night.

Brian- my hotel was right in the heart of the French Quarter...  Canal St. and Royal...  Good times and sunshine!

Ballston was fun today, more sunshine there too!  Great day to be out, but conditions were so slick that I missed four flags due to baby steps on the trecherous ice.  SLICK!  They wanted the big baits today.  Here was the fatty of the bunch- a typical Ballston glutton:

Sunshine, fresh air and enough slip-sliding to make it exciting in Saratoga County...

Hey Jimmy I was on Ballston sunday morning at the crack of dawn... c and r' ed about 60-70 bluegills but only one perch and no crappie. No flags on tipups.  Bluegills annoy the crap out of me, couldn't seem to find anything else.  Not even a Ballston Pig.
Gonna try Burden tuesday am around 7 I'll let ya know how it went.
