Erie weather report

Gentlemen,
The local forecast for Erie is calling for high temps in the upper 40's on Saturday with a passing shower, 20mph south winds. On Sunday in the low 40's with a passing shower, 20mph wnw winds. I don't really think this will break up all the trib ice, but may melt some. A word of advice if ya do come up....watch for creek bergs and thin ice. Good luck guys...I'll be out for the last day of small game on Saturday, maybe I'll see some of you Sunday.

I don't always snag fish, but when I do...
I choose Little Cleos

I'm the best looking smartest snagging poacher alive...

I agree with ya, the melting snow/ice and additional precip could weaked the ice with rising water levels....be careful everyone

One other thing to be careful of, if the water rises, is a blow up.  That's when the water pressure under the ice gets too strong and it will literally blow big chunks up out of the creek to make an open channel.

... followed by a blow out! A week's worth of 40 deg.+ temps and some sun/rain should do a nice job of melting some of that glacier north of I 80. Make sure your lawn furniture is staked down!

Winter fishing has been great and now the weather is going to go and screw it all up.

Thought Phil said 6 more weeks of winter. What's this 40 degree crap.

I know to many steelheaders must've been praying for the warm temps I'd much rather sit on the ice then stand in the creeks.

They're rescuing a bunch of ice fisherman on the western basin as we speak,it seems a large chunk broke off and gave them a ice ride.
