floro and mono life

We all know that sunlight breaks mono and floro down relatively quick. What about those leaders in a sealed pack in an envelope in a vest that sees no sunshine all year. How long do you supose thier life expectancy is? Even those tippet spools that don't see the sun often?  Does everyone throw all that away every year?

I am tying leader material that is 20+
(i asked the same question a few months back)
i would say, pull it out and test some knots

i wouldn't think of throwing it away unless it sat in the sun or heat

There is nothing worse than being on the water with bad tippet. A beautiful day could be ruined because you want to save a few bucks. Test your tippet the night before and always have backup.

Lets play a game just the tippet just for a minute to see how it feels.
