3 rivers flatheads

anyone fish near pittsburgh for flaheads??

    If I'm not mistaken, I think the state record flathead was caught out of the Allegheny between Lock 2 and Lock 3.  I seem to remember reading that it was over 40 pounds.  I do know that there are quite a few pulled from the Allegheny between Oakmont and Lock 3 that weigh well over 20.

    To catch big flatheads, you need live bluegills. Here is the info that the PFBC has on flatheads. All three of our rivers, the Monongahela, The Ohio and the Allegheny hold good populations of flatheads.

    no not yet mike... text me your email the guy sent me a bunch new pics of it he touched up all the paint changed all the oil and is gettin .. as for the flatheads i know all about them and was just looking for other guys that target them also..

    the first pic looks like the 79 bridge that is over the back channel.. do you have the guys email that sent that too you? id like to get more info about this area...
