Port Clinton Weekend

I know that the walleye action is starting to heat up locally but we made the trip to Port Clinton just to get away for the weekend.  Caught limits both Saturday and Sunday and headed home.  The motel had a nice set up launch and docking over night for $80.00 a night for 4 people.  Also had an out door cleaning station with a few hoses and ice for sale.

It sits back in the channel so boats are pretty protected.

The first fish of the trip.

First days catch.

Day number 2.

When we came back to take the boat out on Sunday we found this guy on the ramp.  I think he had bitten off a little more than he could chew.

The fish was still alive and would flop once in a while.  He did want us to take his lunch so he swam off.

All in all we had a great weekend

Maybe one day he will be able to fish again. Right now with his work schedule and everything he doesn't have much time to do anything. But we make sure we keep him well informed on how good we are doing. Most of the time the response we get from him is stuff I can not type on here.

Maybe one of these days.  We were going to go on Conneaut Lake a few weeks ago but a thunder storm blew in and ruined that.  We make sure that he gets lots of cell phone pics.

I get to see how busy he is at work everyday. He could make time really he could. We gotta keep working on him.

I've fished on charter boats out  of port clinton before. Never considered taking my own boat. I would imagine the biggest expense would be fuel. Do they give you any info on where to go and what to use. Last time I was there everyone was using Erie Dearies with a worm.

Even with fuel and the hotel room fishing two days with four people it was a lot cheaper than paying for charter boats for two days.  The place we stayed also runs a chrter boat so I imagine they would give you some advise if you asked.
