I had a dream. I went to Walnut. Everyone on the wall was line-dancing to country music. No one was fishing. Fishing wasn't fun anymore so I went home.

I know what you mean. draging in another steelhead just ain't all it's cracked up to be.I'm new here so I don't know you, but have you helped a newbe latch on to one? That's a nice way to get the blood flowing again.

If you are tired of fishing for steelys, try taking a kid and watching. That is as fun as catching your first, when they loose control with excitement.
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

This turned into a good thread....I couldn't agree more, take a youngster fishing and impart your knowledge. It can be part of your legacy. Otherwise, all your accumulated knowledge and skills dies with you. That would be a waste.

I can't get my Dad into fishing much and my brother likes to outfish me on a daily basis, but my 8 year old girl might try her hand this spring. She already likes to tie flies with me. She designs her own...they always end up with alot of pinks and blues in them and she is very partial to any material that sparkles alot. Go figure.
