with rain in the forcast for the remainder of the week + the snow that didnt melt as it should have today I would expect if the rain comes everything will be blown out come this weekend

If this comes to fruition, myself and 7 compatriots will be sad for several days.

Also interesting, as it's mine too.

However, many here have said over the years that weather.com is notoriously inaccurate at Erie, and W. Underground is more accurate.

    Who knows.

I'll either have pics of flooded creeks, booze and fires

if you really think about it, the only creeks that are unfishable are ones that are completely dry.  I fished Friday with very low and clear conditions and landed a 12 and 7 pounder and there were a lot more caught.  I also fished twice Sunday, am H20 level was up a bit but still clear (no fish hooked) and the afternoon was almost like friday but the flow was a little higher.  I still managed to hook and land 2, a 10.5 and 8.5 pounder.  So it's up to you if you want to make the drive.  My drive is about 4 miles west, so my decision is easy.  Besides, it gets me away from the wife, at least for a few hours

There are several creeks on the east side that are unfishable, but not dry.
Upper 4 mile is always unfishable, except for April, May. All of 7 mile
right now. Cascade right now. Lower 16 right now.

NO FISH= unfishable. Plenty of room to not fish, though.

We have slush up here that hasn't melted yet.  We need warmer weather and a LOT more rain.

most of the snow/slush has melted or will melt by the end of the day... haven't been the creeks yet but the snow is melting fast.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I fished upper Elk Creek this morning. Most of the snow is melted and it barely affected the stream level, which is still low IMO.

changes in latitudes, changes in attitudes....nothing remains quite the same

Your going to need about 6 inches of rain to worry about the creeks begin blowed out. And the tribs def need about 6 to 8 inches of rain to get them back to where they should be for this time of year. Does someone have the valve shut off ?

Quit ****ing and take a kid fishing !!
