Aventa Float Rod/ Reel Combo

Rod is an Okuma Aventa 13' 6" Float Rod.  The reel is an Okuma Aventa VT1002 Center Pin.
Reel is spooled with 8# Siglon FF and 20# Cortland Micron Backing.
Rod/Reel has never been fished. I have casted it a few times in the back yard but that is it.
I am acquiring too much equipment and can use the cash. I thought it would be something I would use but there is not enough time for another method of fishing.
