Twin Lakes

Has anybody fished twin lakes lately? I'm thinking of going out around 3 pm.

    Not since the weed-choked days of July.  Might have to stop by after the stocking next month, though.

    last time I was there was in late July. I've been off due to an injury so decided I'd go fishing after pt.

    We have been catching carp at the top lake,also small bass & nice perch, but no numbers.Less weeds at the top lake.Be advised that they piled the rocks on the breast of both lakes & no one is allowed to fish from them.It is very dangerous to try now,at least until the rocks settle.   sam

    Sam,

    I went last evening to the lower lake. Just down from the last parking lot. I went bottom with worms. And tossed a plug for 7 cast. I was going into the cove and got the darn thing snagged. That is the second time that happened to me, lost another one. I seen some carp down by the 2nd bench, along with other ripples. So I moved there. Nothing either. I had one bump on my trout pwr bait but nothing after that. A family came with some little ones. And they were using bread and doing better then me LOL! So since I was leaving and had extra bait. I cut a coke can down, folded down the edges. And gave them a dz worms. The kids were so happy. And the parents were very thankfull. And to be honest seeing 3 smiling faces on little ones, was the best catch ever.

    I dont know when I'll get out again. Depends on what the Dr says he's going to do with my knee.
