    NPL2,
I've gone up in Zelie a few times. One nice spot with easy access is:
    - 19N to 588W, toward Hereford Manor.

On 588 right before the little bridge that goes of the creek (right after going over the RR tracks), make a right. You'll go down beside a large warehouse building with the creek on your left.
Go down about 3/4 mile or so until the bend. You'll see a pull off parking area there. That whole bend has good access that doesn't require wading.
Other than that I haven't fished it much, seems a lot of the creek is good for wading possibly.

    Good luck

go down a little further. after you cross those tracks and the bridge on 588 you'll get to the split where 288 goes right and 588 branches off left. go left and stay on 588. about a mile down the road you'll see a sign for a place called VEKA or something like that on the right. make that right and park off to the side of the road right next to the train tracks. walk down the tracks and there is a path that gos under the train bridge, there is a lot of access to a real nice pool and rapids.

We've caught some small mouth for the most part. Only been up there a few times.
BTW, there is some good mexican at El Toro up there. It may be a double wide trailer, but those folk can cook some good grub.

I've been looking for places further north on the Connie to fish as well, anyone have any spots up that way? They all seem to be steep banked or unaccessible due to private property.

Sorry NPL, no chinese up that way as far as I know. I'm down here in Cranberry. Now adays we have a heck of a selection to keep my appetite tamed.

I used to float the creek by canoe, some really good spots from behind the sportsman club, veka, ect... the creek is still fairley polluted, years ago smallmouth fishing was great, now you seem to catch just as many largemouth. Caught my first muskie on that creek 20 years ago, thats when i fell in love with the reble crawdad.

Connoquenessing creek years ago was great! lots of smallmouths ,carp an occasional largemouth and even a muskie here and there. And the spots being suggested here were great.  But something has happened to this body of water and it's definately not the same.
I've been going in below the bridge in Ellwood City( where Slippery Rock emptys into the Conny) if you don't mind walking and wading the smallmouth fishing is pretty good plus some of the holes are deep enough to hold a good sized muskie. I've used mostly surface plugs zara spooks and occasionally senkos but if you took some shiners you might really clean up!
