Clarion River Hatches

I am planning a few days on the clarion the weekend of memorial day. I fished the Clarion last year about the same time and did see lots of large BWO's (i'm guessing ephemerella cornuta), a few cahills, and what looked like march browns spinners from a distance.

Is there anyone out there that fishes the Clarion enough to give a good stream report, and an educated guess at the hatches around memorial day?

Thanks in advance

I forwarded this to dan.  He is in Mexco but he'll likely get back to you sometime soon.  He grew up in Clarion.

I cant seem to find a good hatch chart for the clarion. Right now, I can only go by what i've seen the 4 times that i've been there, which have all been around the end of may, beginning of june. I have never seen what I would consider a heavy hatch, but there has always been enough bugs to bring good numbers of trout to the surface.

Anyone know of a good hatch chart?

Thanks again for the info guys.

drake -- this is what Dan got from someone who guides on it.

The river has one of the best Sulphur hatches around, and it is just kicking into gear. However, the river is still a bit cold, and the fishing has been so-so. Start at Johsonburgh, and work your way down towards Ridgeway. Some caddis too.
