I hope that goes into effect, 4 years would give people the ability to change things the way we want them. People now just say, well im here, ill do what i want. Its not the way it should be!

    Agree completely.

I am afraid this will get the support of the many who are unhappy  they're not seeing as many deer as they used to. You know, the people who dont care about the deer herd, the ones that just want more deer.

That is it exactly.  I guess the only thing that makes a great hunt is if you see 30 deer on every outing to those that are pushing this bill.

Get in touch with your local reps. They stopped H.B. 760 and they can stop this.

I think that part of the reason they are trying to reduce the term from 8 years to 4 years is an attempt to attract candidates.  Think about it, with an 8 year term, that would mean that you volunteered, yes it is a volunteer position, to put in about 1- 1.5 days per week (that is what they tell you it takes) plus the couple of several day meetings each year for 10% of your life.

When I interviewed for the position of Fish and Boat Commissioner, they had advertised for many months and only had 3-4 responses.  I would say mainly because of the length of the committment.
