allegheny river in kittaning

a number of years ago walleyes stacked up at the top of the lock in kittaning.  they were all over that area above the bridge and i never saw so many boats in my life there.  everybody was pounding them.  when the river got high and muddy from alot of rain we got early that summer, the walleye disappeared and big catfish went nuts.  walleyes were in june and river got muddy during july then the cats hit.  august the river came down and nothing was going on at all.  just wondering if anybody else has seen that happen down there or was that some kind of a fluke?  i only saw it happen once.
