Well deserved PA.
Willing to go over the middle and take the lick to pick up the crucial yards, great hands not the best speed but a long a consistent career.
Without him as much as anyone the Bills don't go to 4 straight Superb owls.

That had to be one of the worst Super Bowls ever.It was probably finished at half time but when they returned the kick off for the TD that really finished it.How does a team that looked like a scoring machine against NE play a game like that?Feel bad for Manning 'cause I think that was his last game.I think the real difference in that match up was the head coach.

As a Seattle fan for that one, I thought it was a great game!

Andre Reed was one of the finest players ever to wear a bills uniform, and also never lost his helmet!
We Rochestarians are in a bit of shock over Philip Seymour Hoffman, who I am sure 2B served at least a couple of times when he was still tarbending.  What a waste!

Seattle certainly opened a huge can of whoop asp yesterday on Manning and the Broncos.

As for Andre Reed's selection into the HOF lets just saying his numbers don't compare to Tim Brown's or Marvin Harrison's.  Reed had a good career but IMO not worthy of the HOF. If you think I'm wrong take a look at the stats.  Harrison blows Reed and Brown away.  Brown has nearly twenty more TD receptions than Reed and five more 1,000 yard seasons.  The voters got this one wrong.

WEEEEELLLLL   the JV won and my nephew made a 3 pointer and a few other baskets.   The varsity on the other hand embarrassed themselves on senior night.   Just did not play well at all.  Cannot remember the score but the deficit was close to 20 or maybe a bit more.

Tomorrow I will take the younger nephew to watch the state ranked Westhill Warriors play against a very good Syracuse Academy of Science (charter school).   He likes dunks and there should be several tomorrow.

Hope they at least gave their full effort.
It would have been nice to have something positive to remember to start next year.

TB it's always a full effort, but this team just does not  jell.  Don't get me wrong the players get along, but coaching style vs playing style vs what the team can actually play like are 3 different things.  2 more road games left.   There is NO ONE of any skill at all coming up from JV next year  (both good 10 graders are already on varsity) and 5 seniors leaving.  Although no high $$ players leaving it is hard to replace even average players when there is little to no talent below

Clint is that because between the 3 towns they just don't have kids of height, the kids don't have an interest in Bball, or nobody goes out because they dislike the coaches?
When I was in school it was the latter.
My intramural allstar team beat the varsity team even though the coach officiated the game and a no more one sided ref was ever on the courts.
He basically begged some of us to finish the season on his team.

Re: Why would you need # 1/0 hooks 2014/02/07 18:13:02 (permalink)
Nephew wanted to go watch the Syracuse Silver knights pro soccer team so I am not making the 35 mile drive one way to watch the Westhill game alone.

TB there are 6 kids on the team that are over 6 foot.    6'4   6'3   2 6'2    and 2 6'1.  The team usually matches up height wise well with most teams.    Coach is a 30 year guy and you either love him or hate him  (I am the later), but I think most of the talent in the school is on the team.  He knows the game well, but sometimes  IMHO does not  utilize his players the right way.   Also if you make one mistake you could be buried on the bench for the rest of the night,  the next night  you could make that same mistake and stay in.   His best player is a sophomore that he hardly ever takes out and by the end of the night he is so tired he can barely shoot the ball.   The team just does not play well together, they all get along and are friends but no chemistry.     What they really lack is a leader on the court and that go to guy.   All of the players are fair, but they do not have that stand out guy who will take charge and control of the game.   With no one on the JV next year it will be a while before they have a winning record.

True story.  Westhill has a 6'6 guy on their team that is quite good.  His grandfather lives in Williamstown and is friends with my father.  2 Summers ago his daughter divorced and was thinking of moving to Williamstown to be closer to her dad.   The grandfather and daughter  was talking to my dad  about where they should should move to school wise and my father came right out and told them if he was any kind of  bball player to NOT move  here as our current coach under utilizes  his players.   He told them to go to Westhill and they did.  So both me and my  dad are in the "later" group when it comes to the coach , but that is another story in itself.

Well enough of this rant................
They have 2 games left and I can make one so all you true believers look forward to 2 more reports on the Rollin Rebels until next year.

Well this is the last in person report on the Runnin' Rebels.  One more game tomorrow , but I will not be attending  due to my Tuesday night pitch league.
The game tonight was straight from  Hoosiers.  School was down in the bricks and met by 2 armed guards at the door.   They played tough and at the end of regulation score was tied 60 to 60.   A few errant passes and 4 minutes later Syracuse Institute of Technology prevailed 70 to 66.   Refs really swallowed the whistles in overtime and a key rebound was CLEARLY a push off.  An unbiased coach scouting for sectional play was sitting next to me literally turned and asked me if I saw the same thing he did.     Anyway they played great and if they play this hard they have an excellent chance of winning their last game tomorrow.
I literally cannot wait till next years team all ready.  I am hook on High school ball.  It is nice to watch the kids grow throughout the year.   Will probably take the nephew to a few sectional games   later this month.

How's fishing steel on the SR in April?  Here in Ohio, the lake Erie tribs get going in the spring.  Are the SR steel spring spawners or fall spawners like they have in Erie, PA?...My guess is spring, but looking for some confirmation.

Went to watch the Class B  #1  state ranked Westhill Warriors HS basketball team play tonight.  They did not let me down.   2 games for $5 can't beat that for  Friday night entertainment.

I wish it was our school there, but that is far from happening.   It's pretty  sad,  that I enjoy watching another high schools  team (and they are a rival at that ) on a Friday night and I usually go alone as my wife has no interest.   It's good quality entertainment for little $$$$$.

Won't be long ( 45 days or so) the striped bass will be running in my back yard. Your hard earned dollars have funded more access along with the already 5 miles of islands. Many fires will burn along the shores of the mighty Hudson . Open invite welcome , as always

Please don't think less of me (as if that is possible) for foregoing the swing bt it was too cold today.
A globug would have to do.
Sorry you'll have to look close to find waldo.
Hint center bottom.

 Maxillary full of globug

All the same fish.
Doesn't look like much but was around 8 lb
Really hard to play them from the position I needed to be in and get any kind of a pic.
Hour and a half was enough.
3 bites.
One I broke of after these pics, no way to land them really so it got to keep the bug.
Missed the next.
Then the first fish (probably the only fish)
hit again.
Came up showing me the side by side bugs in it maw.
Shook loose as I was unzipping to get the camera out.

Now its time to get ready to find out what a new set of molars all around is going to set me back.
Was  nice to get out and squeeze the cork.

My pleasure BB.
Someone has to keep these pesky rainheads on their toes.
Should have had the camera more accessible, have to figure out the timing on getting them to the surface when the camera is ready to shoot (I hate the delay after you press the button and when it really takes the pic) and I still don't know why the flash didn't pop.

The real problem is getting it close enough to highlight the fish.
Too much zoom and it hard to frame up on the fly.
Too little and it comes out like these.
Got to get Lucky to retire so he can follow me around and take pics. LOL :)
