Why is this even a thing that you all care so much about? Aren’t there real problems that deserve your attention?

It shouldn't be big deal
it's a simple cut 'n dried thing.
No, born males can't compete because they're physically stronger PERIOD!

It's you zealots making it a big deal
"normal" people agree males shouldn't be in female athletics.
It's you zealots that lost your marbles making it "a thing"

This is an epidemic. Talk to any HS athlete’s parent that doesn’t happen to be a coach and 99% would agree. Parents should be banned from coaching school teams.

First of all, congrats to your daughter on her D1 opportunity!  That's awesome!

I live in a 4A school district with an OK to good overall athletics program.

2024-2025 school year varsity coaches with kids on the team:
Golf
Girls Soccer
Girls Tennis
Boys Hoops
Girls Hoops
Boys Rasslin
Boys Lacrosse
Softball
Cheer Advisor/Coach is a mom

If parents didn't coach school sports at smaller schools that don't have awesome athletics programs and facilities that attract highly qualified and skilled coaches, a lot of kids would miss out on a lot of opportunities and there would be no coaches, or horrendously under-qualified coaches.

When my oldest son was in 7th grade, there was no 7th grade hoops coach 3 weeks before the season started, so I stepped up.  Just finished my 9th season and coached my youngest two years ago too.  Never heard complaints that I denied other kids opportunities to get my sons more playing time.  Other than the occasional very disgruntled parents that are seemingly disgruntled about everything, I don't hear complaints about the varsity coaches who are parents either denying kids of opportunities.

Even if I was qualified to coach a varsity sport - I'm not - there's no way I'd want to because of how crazy parents can be.  If a parent has some skin in the game, wants to put up with all the other crazy parents, and try to build a program while their kid is in the program and/or help their kid and their teammates make some great high school memories, I'm all for it, even if their kid gets a little special treatment once in awhile.

I've seen a lot of parents coach varsity sports in our district in my 23 years here.  I've never seen another kid lose out on opportunities at the high school or collegiate level because a parent coach decided to cut off their nose to spite their face.

Now, if you wanna talk about how horrendous daddy ball is in travel/pay to play sports below the high school level, I can talk about that for hours!

Thanks.

For the daddy balling, like you said it is everywhere, travel, club, school. I only said school since it seems to be at least a bit more controllable with school board and other. I can see middle school with lack of coaches available. I guess small remote schools too. But I know schools around here have no issues getting coaches for any sport. The club coaching scene is loaded with coaches. If they love the sport, coach at the neighboring school of their kid. That is proof enough to me of why they are really there.

China's response to the tariffs. "If war is what the U.S. wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war or any other type of war, we’re ready to fight till the end."

To most normal people, boys play boys in sports, girls play girls…

To most normal people, something that affects 0.00001% of the people in this country is not an important enough issue to influence their vote for the president.

Unless of course, the real motivation behind bringing this up again and again and again and again and again is to deceive voters into believing it’s a much bigger problem than it really is.

MyWar you stated you can't understand why something thats supports only 0.00001% of population how can that influence your vote.Well than why couldn't even one dem vote for the girls sport bill if it really doesn't matter.Or even applaud and clap for that 13 year old cancer survivor and acknowledge his accomplishment.Neither of those totally human things would influence anyone's vote for president. But it's because of their TDS and their hatred of Trump and anything he does.

Ice, you seem like an expert on this bill from how many times you have mentioned it. Since you have much more knowledge of it, can you answer a few questions.
1) How do the sports organizations/schools identify who is a female? Do they trust what a parent checks on a form? Do they trust what a birth certificate reads? Does every little girl that enters a sport take a genetics test and who would pay for this test? There was a controversy over an Olympic boxer that had a female birth certificate, raised as a female, but a Russian boxing official with a background of corruption claims that boxer “failed a gender test”. Not enough for the International Olympic committee to ban the boxer, but more than enough for culture warriors to send death threats and publicly harass that athlete.
2) How is this going to be enforced? Is there a new Department of Gender Verification? Will this pass DOGE, since obviously more important than Veterans Health, right? 72,000 employees let go. I’m sure there could be some waste in the VA, but letting go 72,000 employees without any sort of performance review or other identifying which ones are responsible for waste.
3) Does this address young women (who have went through puberty) who are at a physical advantage in sports against boys (who haven’t hit puberty)? High Schools have been allowing females in male sports for years. Is this being addressed in the bill?

Just curious how this would work and you seem to be the one with the most knowledge of the plan.

Again, I am 100% behind women in women’s sports and men in men’s sports. When it comes to legislation, like they say, the devil is in the details. For how often you point to this legislation, I take it you know the details.
