Bud Light got cancelled because they attempted to treat trans people like human beings.

Bud Light got cancelled because the American people are sick to death of having the Transgender and LGBTQ agenda shoved down their throats by advertisers, major media outlets, pro **** politicians and the LGBTQ Pride organization themselves. We don't care what they do to and with each other. Just stop forcing the general population to believe that it is completely normal and that we not only have to accept it, but also have to support it. 330 million people in the US, and they are less than 1%, so how have they suddenly become so powerful?

Yeah I get the general jist of it - but is there a specific instance that started it?

A Bud Light marketing manager decided that sales of BL were stagnating and they need to appeal to a younger crowd. She cut a deal to put the picture of Dylan Mulvaney, (a young Trans TikTok influencer popular with teens and the younger generation), on umpteen eleven cans & bottles of Bud Light. (Is she promoting underage drinking)? Major uproar! Budweiser and parent company InBev's stock lost $5 billion in one week. She was placed on administrative leave of absence and a senior marketing manager from InBev is now in her place and his job will be to try and rescue Budweiser.

Missed this. Good to know, thanks Mitch.

Just curious of when this boycott started? BUD is up like 30% in 6 months. They are currently about 1% below 52 week high??? Where is this $5B loss coming from? Someone have some insider revenue figures? If so, some really dumb investors keeping the stock price at its highest level in over a year. If this happened in Nov of 2017, I can clearly see the effect. Or, maybe those dismal numbers from the previous 5 years had someone feel they needed some sort of boost. I have tech stocks that look better than that 5 year return prior to this past year’s rebound.

I avoid Bud myself regardless. I’ve had too many experiences in my younger days of learning why they call it butt wiper. Taste isn’t great either, but tolerable if looking for something light. I always tended to opt for Millers over Bud. Primarily so I could call it Millers…. Nothing rots my gut more than Yeungling. I drink more than two of those and I better chew on 2-3 tums before bed.

AB InBev is the worlds largest brewery with like $60 billion in revenue annually. They are a gigantic, diversified, multinational corporation with operations in like 50 countries worldwide. This Bud Light boycott is a bug on their windshield.

Annheiser Busch also donates alot of money to the Republican Party. So this boycott makes even less sense in light of that. And it really makes Dylan mulvaney look like a chump because clearly Annheiser Busch is no real friend to the LGBT community.

Actually if I was a trans hating conservative type, I’d buy MORE Bud Light because Budweiser is clearly just trying to make bank off the trans community so they can turn around and dump it right back into the political party that wants trans people to be kept in cages. That’s some real 3D chess right there.

I did the dry January thing.  With the help of a lot of NA beers.  Which I still have around for the weekday evenings and put some in rotation if having a picnic and start early.  There is a good selection of craft NAs now.  They aren't good if compared to the real thing, but if you are looking for something that isn't water and isn't sweat, they are pretty good.

Anyway, at the beginning of January, when the Stillers were salvaging their season, I figured, why not get a 6'er of cheap schwill NA.  I did the Genny NA.  It was actually not too bad to slam...  I swear it tasted just as bad as Genny Cream Ale, but didn't give me the runs the next day.  It didn't give me any sort of buzz either.  But, was kind of fun slamming the NAs, watching the game and being functional after.

Was in the city today. Got in the car, someone had shot a firework off above the parking lot I was in - thought it was a gunshot. First time for that, likely had the most recent Texas shooting on my mind.

The question of "When is enough enough?" has no limit in the US.

Serbia had 2 mass shootings in the recent week, and their President has proposed more gun laws, seems like their Government is moving towards more control and buyback programs, etc.

I can imagine a lot of posters here are very Pro 2nd Amendment Gun Owners, I'm a gun owner myself.
What are your takes on this stuff? Are you in favor of stricter gun purchase laws, mental health evaluations and background checks, etc?

The Texas Mall shooting was the 199th mass shooting of the year in the US. The GOP , where life starts at conception and ends at the barrel of an AR-15.
