It is pretty clear that neither side’s politicians give two chits about the deficit. It is a nice thing for voters to talk about, but is pure political BS once their side gets in. Everyone knows that 90% of politicians are 100% about themselves. They don’t give 2 chits about the future of this country.

I get what you're saying but it's actually not a nice thing for voters to talk about.  It's a dumb f-ing thing for voters to talk about because it's a smoke and mirrors shell game with $$$ on screens and paper.  It is the job of Congress to make that happen.  For voters to interject themselves into a "balanced budget" debate is dumb and it's exactly what those BOTH sides that don't give a $hit want us to do.  I don't give a flying F about the budget actually.  I only care about my own budget.  Congress is to account here and if there's one takeaway from Trump's federal axe it's that Congress has NOT done their job and none of them should return.
