What an interesting and fulfilling life. I imagine he has some wonderful memories to share and look back upon.

  Fred, Used to jag him about his Ranger training, other than that we would talk about home projects and golf. I don't bring up the topic of work much with him.
 
 What's strange to me is my sister-in-law's nephew that I knew from when he was a little kid from family gatherings brain somehow went from being highly superior autobiographical to the exact opposite when he left the secret service investigations dept. 
 
 He knew several foreign languages and had as close to a eidetic memory you could find. When he left the dept. it was very sad. Son had him on speaker phone a few months ago and he couldn't even solve the simplest word problem.

So sorry to hear about your nephew. I wonder how such a thing could happen? Do they have a diagnosis and if so what is his chance of making a full recovery? So much sadness and misery in this world. Every family is touched by it in some way. We come by it as just a part of life that we have no control over. It saddens me to see so much bickering and hard feelings taking place among those of us who participate on this board. These things we do have control over. Life is too short to waste time hating another. No one is in charge of our happiness except us. You never know when a smile and a kind word might brighten someone’s day, even for a little while.

 About 20 years ago was in the waiting room at a dentist office with my son and talked to my son's best friends Dad for a minute that just retired from the CIA and another sad case to see someone in his condition and he was also still fairly young. 
 

 His Dad swears the SSI had something to do with it??

You bring up a great point. For a very long time now FOX has outperformed all the lib press put together in viewership.
Fox regularly boasts of this leadership  - its been no secret and they have reveled in their dominance for years.
Anyone not noticing simply didnt want to acknowledge the medias own regularly reported numbers of a conservative media constantly outperforming the combined lib media.
Despite this the left still demeans conservatives who watch FOX.
The term Mainstream seems to presently represent the  progressive far left ideologists media favorites--its  THEIR mainstream.

 Cable news is for the old farts these days. It's just the way it is. I don't watch any of the cable news networks either. Don't watch any heavy left or right podcasts either. Can't stand one sided views.
