If the counties own the machines and oversee the administration of the elections, wouldn’t the blame be on the county government if the are problems on Election Day?

Oh yea and Republican poll watchers were denied entry in the Philly area in several blue counties--due to some fast legal work they were later allowed into the polls.
 

There were delays reported in Allegheny and Philadelphia counties as well, both very blue. Not as long needing extra polling time though. These polling officials are mostly volunteers. Either retired or taking time from their jobs to run machines they use once per year. I’d imagine many issues are user error. My dad uses his tv remote every day and still gets messed up if he hits a seldom used button. He is younger and mentally more fit than many of these volunteers.

It must be just a coincidence but Cambria and Bedford county’s went Mr Trumps way by over a two to one margin over Mr Biden in the 2020 election.

Pretty sure not one time ever have I pushed any kind of conspiracy theory on this board.

But my point remains. Elections in PA are managed at the county level. If there is some kind of problem with voting, then you should look at the county governments and the county government personnel that are in charge of the process. In Cambria and Bedford counties, those county governments are mostly run by republicans.

Now if I were to say: “republican county officials are deliberately sabotaging voting to undermine faith in elections”, then THAT would be pushing conspiracy theories.

But I actually don’t think that’s what’s happening at all.

I think the much more likely scenario is simply that these elected republican county officials are just dropping the ball, because they’re incompetent.

Months to prepare the machines and give test runs. Software error over the entire county the day of the election. I was being nice saying user error, but incompetent is definitely more fitting.

 Hey Pork, you see the lines throughout the Philly area? Some crazy crap. Erie county has a problem with a independent ballot harvester.
 
 Least all votes will be counted in those rural counties and stay open longer for lost time.
