Porktown
You mean Lake Porktown? No one has asked me for permission on this.

Do you need a commercial license in PA to guide? I’ve never seen anyone advertising guided trips on any inland lakes, besides Raystown. Lake Porktown is way too small for guides. I mean, it is huge…. Long and many say that it can reach deep. Have heard many ladies like taking joyrides on Lake Porktown.

I have looked into it in FL, more to see if a feasible early retirement plan. Not actually guiding, but selling catch to basically fish for minimum wage... A ton of hoops to jump through down there to sell any more profitable gamefish. Basically have to be a pro bait catcher for a few years before eligible for the more profitable species license.

PA has a guide license. Need to apply, show proof of 1st aid or CPR training (I think), and, of course, pay the Fish Commission.

Pork, Just a tip when fishing Porktown Lake or Pymy. It's not how long or fancy your worm is. Stubby/thick/fat is better than long & lean, saves on short strikes, remember you want to get it down their throats not bit off.
Also no fancy window dressing is needed but if want to use harnesses the smallest blades and beads out preform the full size used in Erie.

There are guides for Pymy and L.P.T.

The one guide post psu was talking about was taken down pretty fast and members started a new post making fun of him.  At least he said he had the CPR class

Easily the most useful fishing post that I have seen on this site in years, maybe decades! This is how we make Lake Porktown great again!!!

I always have issues just getting it in their mouths, always want to spit and not swallow, have seen videos of the ones that will take it all the way down their throats. Usually look like a keeper. Are these type of fish are part of the $100? Any beaver trapping guides at Lake PT? That would be a pretty fun day.
