This is by far my favorite time and method to fish. Got out mid morning for a few hours. Same program. Attachments are not available: Download requirements not met

Nice! Next few days should be purdy good. The few times I've fished it the past 3 years the Panfish have been healthy. Heading to Pymy on Thursday for a week, might get out for a few hours.

Thanks all. Hey Crappie. I'm planning on being around up'dere this weekend. U see a Black Lund Fury. Stop by. I've been pleasantly surprised with Moraine these last couple of trips, but Pymie is the Crappie Factory...

If I make it out gonna be north end for Perch. My brother hasn't fished yet this year so going to try. He gets cold so fast so won't be a long outing. Hope Tim can stay 'till Saturday so he can make it also. Old lady was up there today and said about 4"--5" of snow. Cleaning up bedroom today and found 6 shopping bags packed with Panfish tackle so going to sort through some now. I loved going through my little bit ov fishing stuff as a kid but not as much any more :(  Good Luck mup'dere/. Yeah, they remind me ov a frizzbe!!

Ya, I hear ya on the gear. I own every color, in 2 or 3 different style tails. I have a favorite color in Bobby Garland and I use maybe 2 more different colors. Why I have all that other stuff is beyond me🙄. Good luck with the perch. We will be dahn by da dam.

I saw that lastnight on the news. Little Chartiers Creek. Hope they get that cleaned up. Neighbors said the fumes and smell were so bad they had to leave their home. Also dead fish already turning up.

Yea it’s a real shame about that chartiers gas spill. There was a fish kill from fertilizer runoff over the summer too. It was further downstream, below canonsburg lake, and I think this gas spill is above it.

Chartiers creek is a decent little fishery as far as urban waters go. It gets pretty heavy sewage runoff after rain, but it still supports a pretty healthy population of fish. I floated the section from the lake to Boyce road a couple times a few summers back and it was surprisingly enjoyable. They might even stock trout in that upper section above the lake too.

I think they also just completed a pretty big AMD remediation project at some point along the creek, but I can’t remember exactly where. It’s not pristine trout water, but overall water quality has improved substantially over the last 30 years. Setbacks like these repeated chemical spills are just so sad and frustrating.

Tried the crappy crappie thing. Froze my tail off and no crappie! Got lucky with a walleye though.
