Not  necessarily overpowered or the only agenda but on occasion there are those things that stand out from otherwise generally well intended sounding actions.
People being selfish on occasion.

Flip side--
After being in Scouting a long time decided to start my own Troop -Approached a local Rod and Gun as they had great facilities for the kids.
When the area pro Scouting rep came  to the club where we were invited to a meeting to discuss the request the members immediately and overwhelmingly approved.
The Pro said he had never had such a fast approval of a Troop sponsorship nor so many people quickly volunteer to help out.
Had bout the only Scouts around who all had their firearms safety badges as well as a place to camp and do fire and cooking badges right outside the front door.
Couldn't have been better.
Turned down the offers of a free membership, was just appreciative  to be there at that level.

Guess will be up with a friend and perhaps one of my Sons mid Oct. Gonna try a late Sept trip myself too.

As far as fun I have a MD appt on Wednesday at 1100 so if the weather is decent I should have a report on what is going on. With the release and wind maybe some action.

I thought it was kind of odd that DSR posted no report for yesterday.  750 cfs is up, but should not totally curtail fishing, unless of course it has all been sight and line placement for those early passholders!

So I returned from deliverance.
We accomplished what needed to be done. Put 5 more cameras out, checked 2 which had thousands of pictures.
Moved a treestand ( I have 9 out there for 4 people who hunt ) and established a few new ground blind stands. My son and grandson had a blast riding atvs until they were to tired . Burned an enormous amount of firewood and re upped the pile for next trip. You really don't need a saw there . I cut a load of Apple wood for the smokehouse.
There are 12 very longstanding trees and strangely no apples this year on them.
Other than that, it was a relaxing 3 days for me with excellent weather, not to hot and no bugs.
I took very few pictures and used my phone maybe once .
Next trip we will be in hunting mode starting October 1. I do see an established structure going up by me next spring as well as a side by side from my son
Right now I'm working on the smokehouse and garden. Want to do a trial run with smokehouse tomorrow.

Sometimes they skip a year, especially if the flowers get burnt by the frost. The big one in our pasture (really two really close together) skips every third or fourth year

Report from DSR was that there was very little fish movement yesterday,and no surprise there with water temps in the mid 70's.More heat for the next three days and then maybe it'll cool off.....I hope!!!

Long term weather- as of now-isn't all that encouraging for cooling waters.

I walked from ballpark to staircase and the only fish I saw were floating near shore. Too hot to do anything else.

Read a blog or two where others have also been seeing deads.
Typical for the few poor scouts running too early.
