Been here for years and have met some great folks along the way. When I had my place at the SR and was fishing 70/80 days a year our banter was great--those days are over- The SR thread is kinda dead and has been for some time. Times change. Thank you FISH USA for some wonderful memories,.

I only use the mobile version anymore. I thought this was some sort of joke with Liberation Day? Was a good waste of time while it lasted. Nothing like it was when it first started, but still get a few good laughs. Last few years, I think even those of us that stuck around debated to call it quits on multiple occasions. 90% useless bickering over politics with little fishing discussed. Glad they waited until spring and actual fishing to start up again. This site was nice for winter boredom. Take care all.

I've met dozens of good people from this site, many I consider friends and some became best friends. I've been around here since 9/21/2000. Almost 25 years.
Glen, Plumbob, Krott243, Double taper, Swinger, Wormwaster and Crip all became cherished fishing partners. RIP Crip and Plumbob.
Most importantly, If it wasn't for this site, I would have never met Jack (Indsuiz), which means I probably would never have met Skip16503 or John(woodnickle) who were both instrumental in planting a seed and getting me fully involved with volunteering and helping our Disabled Veterans for the last 15 years.

The open discussion thread was just that Open Discussion. No one talked politics in campfire,fly trying,hard water,boats and motors we discussed it in the open discussion thread.No one should have got butt hurt everyone was entitled to their opinion on things .If you didn't want to participate don't go there or change the thread. when folks mention this site are they meaning Open discussion or do they mean the entire forum?
