There are some commercials that get under my skin. The one with Andy Reid “Fumblerooski” is one. The “High Tide” used to be. But sort of changed after all of the Alabama/SEC belly aching about being more deserving in the CFP. Then Michigan who was playing with half of their team beats a pretty much fully in tact Alabama. SC loses, Georgia loses. Texas who is really Big 12, needs the refs to not call a clear as day targeting to get into over time. Now, High Tide guys, High Tide! Now it is just fitting of the arrogant fanbases.
Might as well add college football/athletics to this list. NIL and transfer portal are a double edged sword.
I do think it was wrong that colleges were reeling in $Ms and not sharing. I think they got it wrong in how it is being shared though and rules are just crazy. Not really sure a right way. Would like to see an NFL cap, so we don’t end up with MLB level, golden rule like Genie noted. Not a fan that some kid that hasn’t seen the field is getting $6M, while the O-line that is making things happen for them is getting nothing. If that QB gives his O-line gifts, it is somehow against the rules…. If a college athlete enters a summer league and wins, it is against the rules to collect any sort of cash prize. Which is maybe a couple hundred for spending cash but others can collect millions which is life altering?
Transfer portal, close it until after the championship! Playoffs, no byes, 16 teams. No home field advantage. All games are neutral site “bowls”. Better seed gets closer game, sort of like men’s basketball regions.
