Once the surf pushes steelhead close to shore you can get in line at the lakeshore. During a dry start, early season steelhead fishing battleline forms at the Lake Erie shoreline! You can wait upstream at the Legion Hole or go north to the lake and join the fun. Most wade in the lake to fish or, as you can see in this video, stand on shore and fish behind the anglers standing in the lake 30 yards from shore. The steelhead swim between their legs!!
