Reaction Bite Technique

Fishing Info Blog - http://jackyork.co/ https://rumble.com/v5fytol-steelhead-early-season-fishing-technique.html Reaction bites produce steelhead hookups; especially, in the early season when flow is low and water temperatures are too warm. If you can take the wrist pain of constantly twitching your gulp minnow or hair jig, you will get hookups.

That's a good idea. I've used Gulp minnows occasionally but I never tried twitching it like that. I'll have to remember that the next time I use them.

Works great. People will accuse you of snagging though, when all they're aware of is drifting bait/flies. Tinsel jigs work well for this. Great technique in clear water.
