WOW!! The Browns tried desperately to lose but managed to pull it out with 3 seconds left. I'm not a big Browns fan but watching Baltimore lose anytime is a treat.

Ya just can't trust those d*** Cowboys! They were down by 17, (27-10) in the fourth with ten minutes left, and I figured there'd be no way they could win or even tie the game needin' three scores in 10 minutes, considering the Niners defense was playin' pretty well, so I shut it off. Fortunately for me, ('cause I don't like the Cowboys or their owner), they still lost with a final of 30-24. Pretty big deal for the Cowboys to score 2 TDs plus a FG from the Niners in just 10 minutes after mediocre play for 3 & 1/3 quarters. Seems I remember they bested the Steelers (against what the pundits are calling the best defense in the league) with 1 minute left to play just a couple of weeks back. Steelers and Giants tonight. Really glad Disney settled with ESPN a couple weeks ago and allowed joint broadcast of Monday Night Football, 'cause I don't buy ESPN, but I do get ABC for free.

Calling it now - tonight is a classic Tomlin game. Play down to a lesser team and have an unprepared, undisciplined team.

I failed in adding Stillers schedule to my calendar. Ow stuck in a hotel in Philly and need to be at an 8AM meeting. Hopefully they have this wrapped up by halftime!

C,mon, Gator! Don't be pessimistic and callin' for a Steeler azzwhoopin'. They gotta get 9 wins this year (for Tomlin) and they still have the 6 divisonal games to go. But in a way, you may be right. They have a habit of comin' off a biggie, then bein' flat on the next one. Wilson's second game may show us something.

Not sure if they are playing down or being undisciplined. Just can’t seem to finish. Moving the ball like crazy between the 20s. Najee is playing for a new contract. Defense needs to step up a little more.

Closer than it should've been but glad to get away with a W. I thought Wilson looked more like his Denver version than the Seattle one, but it was good enough tonight. They've got a few things to tighten up during the bye week.

Stillers pick up a washed up Mike Williams for a 5th round draft pick. Not sure why? The guy is basically Van Jefferson. He was a stud in college, but long ago. He had two good NFL seasons and a bunch of ho hum seasons. I guess they need depth, but 5th seems steep for 1/2 year rental of an average old WR. If Pickens, Jefferson or Austin go down, they are in trouble, so I guess that is really it. This isn’t nearly the upgrade they were teasing that might make the difference in a deep playoff run. I guess the standard being the standard pickup. Should get them above .500 and maybe wildcard weekend. Go Stillers…

Yes, I saw a group of 5 guys were supposed to come back this week. I think Herbig too. They traded for an edge rusher though, so not sure if Herbig injury might be on that typically lingers? Or that guy is big enough to rotate more interior line?
Would have been nice if Roman Wilson made more of an impact. He seemed like that type of WR that Tomlin has had luck turning into something special. One of Tomlin’s few things that he has seemed to do really well. But not all that recently. Calvin Austin appeared to maybe be that guy too. Wilson really looked to be that guy in Michigan. Good route runner and excellent chemistry with QB when plays break down and able to give them a reliable target.

Pretty good showing against Washington. Thought that Mike Williams would have been used more. Produced when it counted though. I wasn’t sold on that trade. But the more I hear, he is more of a downfield jump ball threat than Jefferson is. He should help take downfield safety help off of Pickens. Russ is definitely more the down field chucking it QB than Fields is. Fields definitely has the strength for deep balls, hopefully he is working on deep balls in practice. Chances of Russ staying healthy for 10+ more games is 50/50. But he definitely has proven to be the better fit.

Very entertaining game. The injury to Highsmith looked pretty serious. The pass to Williams was a thing of beauty.
How did the person who invented the first clock know what time it was?

Makes that signing of Smith a life saver for their season. They’ll need Herbig back badly now. If Watt has been getting sick of being doubled on every play, this injury is going to ensure that for a while.

Nice forecast for a football game… I’d prefer snow over cold rain, at least as a fan in the stadium. Going to be a sloppy one. Browns chances go way up the worse the weather is. So I think it will be close. Which stinks on a weeknight, doubt it will be over at halftime. Browns have one of the best RBs of the past 5-10 years. Defense is solid. Most importantly, division game, throw the records out. Wilson’s moon ball is likely out of the playbook, which allows the Browns to stack the box. I know they won’t do it, but I would prefer Fields more in these conditions. Maybe he will get a few sub packages.

Read it on my phone that the odds are that the Browns win. Steeler's bad record when at Cleveland, Steeler's bad record overall against Cleveland, Steeler's bad record on Thursday Night, Steelers have a big letdown after another tough division game, etc. Basically they're just sayin' that the Browns have Pittsburgh's number. We'll see.

Why would you say that? They lost the last 4 out of 5 at Cleveland, and so far with the 3rd quarter nearly over, they've proved they can't make 1 yard runs. They'd be better off with 2nd, 3rd, and 4th and seven than they would with one yard. Been stopped in their own territory on 4th 3 times so far. Who the hell calls a "go for it" on 4th and one or two in their own territory? Remember, there were no 6 pointers last Sunday either. If they survive this one, they'll be lucky, not good.

The killer stretch is here; 3 games in 11 days, and two of them are divisions. They may need help from some guardian angels!

They really just need the Ravens game. Eagles game wasn’t too much of a surprise. How bad they got beat up was. They are just a different offense without Pickens. Watt not being 100%, Jackson and Elliot not 100% on an already suspect defensive backfield. I wouldn’t be surprised if they head into the Bengals finale 0-3 in this stretch. I think Ravens are better than the Chiefs, but have to play against the refs when you play the Chiefs. Didn’t help them get back in the game with Eagles when handed two personal fouls for getting punched by Eagles players??? Got beat regardless, but crushed any chance of grabbing momentum.

I agree, Pork. It was bad enough for Pickens to run his mouth (on more than one occasion) about the officiating, but after the Eagles' game Tomlin really made it public. Two ways to look at it. Either the officials are full of embarassment and take great strides to being fair, or, they decide since they've been publicly criticized for their bias so they're really gonna show Pittsburgh who's boss! If they take the Ravens in Baltimore, it'll be huge, not just for the division title but also for the rivalry. I'd like to see them win all 3. KC has come very close to losing at least 4 games this year, and they are beatable. The big thing with them is if the Steelers barely miss a sack, Mahome gets loose and completes a pass or runs for a biggie. If they win all three, if I'm correct, they'd be the top seed with a 1st week playoff bye.
