bigfoot Perhaps having the second highest tax on gasoline ( after California) could help explain the price.Ah yes, good o’ Pa . Land of taxes and the pothole capital of the world🤡
That has something to do with it. The oil company that leases, explores, drills, transports, refines, and transports again makes less than 10 cents per gallon; the retailer who has infrastructure, maintenance, inventory costs, and labor costs (even if it is just the ordering, permitting, and accounting) makes 3-5 cents per gallon; and the Commonwealth of PA, that does nothing at all, makes 50+ cents per gallon. But it’s the oil company fault that gas is priced where it is.
The poster formally known as Duncsdad Everything I say can be fully substantiated by my own opinion.

Yep, We also let the Canadians run pipelines full of that sludge oil through our country. Pipelines that they knew were flawed and destined to leak like the keystone pipeline that averages one major spill per year. Yet, Canada says that's not their responsibility? Pipelines allowed to be built through our country because we let a foreign entity use our eminent domain clause. Canadian oil companies make the money and we assume all the risk. And, we get stuck with all the refining waste which is 2-4 barrels of waste to refine 1 barrel of that crap. And yet, we were going to let this happen again with the keystone XL pipeline. Another foreign pipeline should have nothing to do with our oil independence if we just kept our good oil here. You got me fired up this morning, Larry.

Big Steve Fwiw, during covid no one was driving. Domestic oil was taking a big hit. Trump negotiated a decrease in production with OPEC+.
https://www.foxbusiness.c...sia-opec-oil-deal-role
I remember that. They couldn't even give it away. At one point, the price of oil hit negative $40 which is giving you $40 if you would take a barrel of oil off their hands. The problem was that there was no place left to store it.

Ok where is it in the USAID report? https://www.usaid.gov/sit...-09/C-and-C-FY2023.pdfFrom the guardian: “According to a comprehensive report issued in September by the US Agency for International Development (USAid), not a penny of the $60.8m in contraceptive and condom shipments funded by the US in the past year went to Gaza. In fact, the accounting shows, there were no condoms sent to any part of the Middle East, and just one small shipment, $45,680 in oral and injectable contraceptives, was sent to the region, all of it distributed to the government of Jordan. For the financial year 2023, the most recent for which data is available, only about $7m worth of condoms were distributed globally by USAid, and the vast majority of family-planning funds, 89%, were spent on programs in Africa. As Dan Evon of the non-profit News Literacy Project points out: “It’s also worth noting that this is not a Biden program. Trump, too, spent funds on sending contraceptives around the globe. In 2019, about $40m was spent on contraceptives by the Trump administration”.” https://www.theguardian.c...9977268f086189f840e07bI could be wrong but I’d say there is a pretty good chance this whole thing is completely fabricated by the Trump White House. And the truly stupid ones are the ones who believe it without any evidence other than “Trump said so”.

crappiefisher Gas near my place is $3.19 gal. and up near camp $2.99 today. Up some from I last filled up in these areas.
$3.59 at my local Sheetz, $3.32 at Sam’s. Those gas stations near Lake Porktown area are always .25-.30 less than my non-club stations. I always plan to fill up while there and use it as a justification of how much I am spending for a round trip of gas. Gas prices are simple to understand. Just bend over and grab your ankles. Pretty much explains it all. Same with income, property and whatever other taxes.

Ahh yes everything is fabricated. Never ever does US money, goods and services, weapons end up in the wrong hands… Its plausible the total might not be the full $50 million, but sure as heck, more than $0. Taxpayer dollars are being wasted. But I m certain Rubio is now the world’s 2nd worst person to you. He is so bad, he got a 99-0 confirmation vote. How dare someone questions where money goes abroad. Its clear those choirboys running Hamas are using condoms of US and other origins for intended use….but since the word Trump is attached to it, shows us how much on a mental midget you are

Funny Crappie gas is 2.90 in andover ohio and cheaper elsewhere in ohio (RED STATE) and in west virginia its 2.89 another RED STATE) but here in Pa its way more maybe the states are more corrupt than the oil companies.Thats just the gas prices try some of the sin states items like cigarettes and booze.

I’ll get the skunking out of the way first. I’d hope those stretches in single digits did natures calling on the gizzards. Don’t mind too much the alewives. Even the biggest one of them, half of the species can eat. About the only thing eating an adult gizzard is a snapping turtle. Maybe some humans?

. In WV. One in five bridges are in very poor condition. Most of Ohio is flat compared to Pa. Pa, has a pile of bridges/tunnels, hills and mountains compared to Ohio. But then again Texas has the most bridges in the country and their gas was $1.89 a gallon in the fall. Now closer to $2.50 a gallon. Hey thought Pa. was 🍒 once again?? 😅 I pay a buck a pack for crawlers from the Indians. Pa. Has the 3rd most handgun permits in the country. Have to stay safe in this nut ball state.

If by “plausible” you mean “an absolute certainty” then yes, I agree. But lo and behold, Trump already had to walk back the federal funding freeze anyway. I guess making up some total bullshiit story about condoms in Gaza wasn’t enough to convince the entire country that the federal government must suddenly stop spending all money, completely, across the board, immediately, without any prior notice. Seemed like such a well thought out plan tho. I guess it turns out most average Americans don’t want their lives filled with chaos and uncertainty.
